		<description>Wow, excellent post, Bill!  I will link tomorrow or Wednesday in a roundup post.  I had remembered the Detective story because of course it&#039;s part of that late-1950s &quot;filling in the legend&quot; era just before the aliens and monsters, but I didn&#039;t realize that it followed the Robin story so closely.

BTW, I know that Robin fought the Clock again; IIRC it&#039;s in the Batman in the 1940s volume.  And the Green Arrow also fought a slightly different Clock villain around 1960 or so.

The swipes are certainly a part of the comics, so it&#039;s not that I&#039;m expressing indignation.  It&#039;s just interesting when you find one that you hadn&#039;t heard about.  It certainly looks like the Blackhawk stories of that era will turn out to resonate with many Batman stories.
