One of my favorite animated series of all time was Batman: The Animated Series<\/em>.\u00a0 I thought it captured the Batman of the Golden Age (by intent or otherwise) better than any \u201cmodern\u201d treatment of Batman in film.\u00a0 In recent years, DC and Warner Brothers have produced a great follow-up to this series with the Justice League Animated Series.\u00a0 While this is probably far removed from the Golden Age of Comic Books, it still captures the essence of these heroes in their Golden Age and early Silver Age incarnations.\u00a0 I enjoyed the Justice League animated series almost as much as Batman: The Animated Series<\/em>.<\/p>\n

I am therefore pleased to announce that on November 10, 2009<\/strong><\/span>, Warner Brothers will release Justice League: The Complete Collection<\/strong><\/span> on DVD.\u00a0 This is a whopping 14 DVD set featuring all 91 episodes of this series.\u00a0 There is also a special 15th<\/sup> bonus disk containing an all new retrospective, \u201cUnlimited Reserve: Exploring the Depths of the DC Universe\u201d.\u00a0 This is simply a great DVD set and would make an excellent Christmas gift for any fan of DC Comics and the Justice League.<\/p>\n

The packaging of this set is first rate.\u00a0 The 15 DVDs are in two DVD cases in a metal slipcase.\u00a0 It will look great on anyone\u2019s shelf!\u00a0 The disks come in standard or widescreen format, so you can choose your preference.\u00a0 The menus are easy to navigate and very well done.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the official release from DC and WB:<\/p>\n

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl.\u00a0 They have all used their unique powers to fight evil across the galaxy.\u00a0 These seven superheroes unite to become the Justice League.\u00a0 These adventures feature battles with favorite villains like Lex Luthor, Vandal Savage and sorceress Morgan Le Fey.\u00a0 Acts of justice include saving Aquaman from a coup and clearing Green Lantern\u2019s name in a charge of genocide.\u00a0 From the smash hit TV series, these triumphant tales of teamwork will enthrall and inspire!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
