In this episode of the Golden Age of Comic Books we discuss the Golden Age Green Lantern from DC Comics. The Green Lantern got his start in the pages of All-American Comics #16 (July 1940) and continued in that title until issue #102. He also had his own title, Green Lantern Comics that ran for 38 issues. Green Lantern was a regular member of the Justice Society of America and appeared with that group in the pages of All-Star Comics. He also appeared with The Flash and Wonder Woman in Comic Cavalcade. The Green Lantern was revived as a different Silver Age character in Showcase #22, but the Golden Age Green Lantern soon returned in issues with his JSA team mates in their crossover stories with the members of the Justice League of America.
