Golden Age of Comic Books – September 26, 2005 – #17

In this episode we feature the Golden Age Aquaman who made his first appearance in the pages of More Fun Comics #73 (November 1941) and continued in this title until issue 107 (February 1946).  He then moved over to Adventure Comics in issue #103 (April 1946) where he remained until issue #284 (May 1961).  He also had his own title in the Silver Age of Comic Books.  Even though Aquaman was a popular DC Comics superhero, he was never featured on the cover of any Golden Age title and was always a backup feature.  He remains a popular DC Comics character.
